Overview
Perform general mechanical engineering activities in an industrial manufacturing setting. Perform first article analysis and approve production start-up. Perform routine dimensional analysis to ensure that products remain within specification. Support quality inspectors to ensure that products are within specifications. Perform or initiate weekly mechanical equipment service. Perform failure analysis and support quality manager in providing root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions. Develop training to build quality awareness. Document monthly safety minutes. Maintain calibration schedule for all measuring devices. Maintain preventive maintenance schedule for all molding equipment and automation. May require up to 5 hours of overtime per week.
Job Requirement
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing engineering or equiv., plus 1 yr quality engineering exp
- Technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of quality and ISO standards in relation with manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of 3D platform design software (Solidworks)
- Understanding of mechanical and electro mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of material science and specifications for plastics materials (PP, PS, HDPE and LDPE).
- Having knowledge in quality ISO systems is a plus.
